Hello hello hello,
We are firmly into 2017 now and 2016 is a distant memory! I’ve already reminisced on my highlights of 2016 in my previous post (which if you haven’t read already you can here!) Now it’s time to look to my personal goals for 2017. I don’t like to call them resolutions because I feel like I’m more likely to fail. A goal sets no time frame, it is something I am working towards, until I get to where I want to be. This is no “new year, new me”. I am still the same me, just making improvements and reaching goals along the way. So lets crack on…
Now I am at a weight which I am happy with, I want to work on turning to my fitness levels. I currently have 0 level of fitness – especially when it is January and I have done nothing but eat rubbish food for the entirety of December (and maybe a little of November!) So now I need to work from the bottom and slowly build up. I aim to do this in a realistic way too. No fad diets or meal supplements, just eating healthy and working out to how my body tells me to. Apart from I’m going to need a little advise and guidance along the way, no doubt!! Once I have my fitness levels higher, I realllyyyy want to take part in a charity run. I’ve not decided which one or when I plan to do one – it’s just a goal to work towards to motivate me to work out.
Graduate University and get a job:
Come May I will hopefully be all done with university, have graduated and be a fully qualified social worker! (eeep, that scares me.) So obviously when that time comes, it will be time for me to get a job and start adulting properly! I am actually looking forward to this moment – I am quite bored of being a student and want to be out working, earning money and living my life the way I want to. (I am reminded I won’t always think like this but lets just pretend I will, okay?!)
Have more time for myself:
I realised more than ever in 2016 that it is so important to take time for yourself, relax and look after yourself. 2017 is the year I make the time to do this – whether that be putting my university work away an hour earlier and getting a good nights sleep or spending the extra 5 minutes at night to exfoliate my face. I’ve not long got myself a proper skin care routine which marks the start of this goal for me. It’s all important things! I literally miss spending some time to myself.
This might be the most important goal for me. Memories last a lifetime and so in 2017 I want to make loads. I don’t necessarily mean in expensive ways but just times with the people that mean the most to me, laughing and being happy. (I have to say this goal got off to the best start by spending New Year in Edinburgh!)
I like to think I have set myself some achievable goals this year and of course you’ll be kept up to date with how they go! These aren’t by any means the whole list but just a few for you to see. What are your goals/resolutions for this year? I’d really love to know so be sure to share them in the comments below! Any motivation with my goals is much appreciated too, I reckon I’ll need it along the way. I hope your 2017 has got off to the best start.
Love and hugs,
