HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
How sad are you that Christmas and new year are all over?! 2016 went by so quickly, I swear I blinked and it was over! So I thought with it being the start of 2017, it might be a nice opportunity to reflect back on the year. There has been good, bad, high and lows, but with the year going by so fast we sometimes forget whats happened. So as well as me looking back on 2016, you can see what I’ve been spending my year doing.
Finding out I’m dairy intolerant:
If you’ve been reading my blog along the way, you’ll already know I’ve become intolerant to dairy. 2016 was the time when I found out what was finally making me ill and could work to improve it! It was just such a relief to get an answer.
Starting my third year of university:
2016 was the start of my third and final year of university. When I started my course, I honestly thought I was never not going to be a student – but in 6 months time I won’t be (fingers crossed!) It’s definitely proving to be an extremely difficult year but I’ve loved university all the way through, especially this year! I now cannot wait to finish and get out into the world of work – although I probably won’t be thinking this when I reflect back on 2017, I know!!
Holiday to Lanzarote and a weekend away to Cardiff:
I haven’t exactly been anywhere particularly impressive in 2016, but it’s just been nice to have time away and relax. We went to Lanzarote for our like “summer holiday” and then Cardiff for our anniversary weekend away.
Concerts and events:
I absolutely love things like concerts or events. This year, I went to see Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis and Adele. You can just see my varied music taste from the people I have been to see. I have to say Adele has to be the one I was so starstruck/mesmerized by. I also went to FriendsFest for the day which was such fun.
Started my blog:
Yep, 2016 was the year my blog was started! I contemplated starting my blog for ages but in August I bit the bullet and did it. It’s become my space to write and talk about everything I want to and I looove it. I wouldn’t have it any other way and I want to say thank you to all of you who follow and read my blog and continue to support me!
So they are some of my highlights of 2016. I only wanted to include all of the positives because I want to think back on the year in the most positive light (also who wants to give the negativity the space eh?) What have you loved most about your 2016?! I am so ready for next year and keep your eyes open for a post soon on my goals for 2017! I hope you’ve had a wonderful 2016 whatever you’ve been up to!
